Some important notes for the season:
- Community Registration: All players must register and participate with their Tier 4 community teams in their home club for the full season. The Lakeland FC indoor program is an additional opportunity for further player development and is not designed to take away from Tier 4 participation. Tier 4 participation remains a priority.
- League Participation: This Lakeland FC indoor season will be played on an exhibition basis in the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) league. The FC teams will not participate in Provincials.
- Tier Placement & Format: Lakeland FC has been declared in the Tier 2 program, playing 9v9 boardless indoor soccer.
- Game Schedule: Teams can expect to play approximately every second weekend in Edmonton, with some exceptions. On scheduled weekends October through February, teams will typically play 2 games per day in an effort to reduce travel. We can expect a schedule from EMSA at the end of September.
- Practice Schedule: Due to facility constraints in all communities and the players commitment to their community teams. Players should not expect consistent day/times for practices this season. Efforts will be made to have FC practices on T4 league weekends and there may be some outdoor practices while weather permits.
- Player Fees: Individual fees will be calculated once rosters are finalized. Costs are estimated at approximately $400 per player (plus jerseys). Costs may be reduced further through mandatory fundraising and sponsors.
